About The Position

 

The Marketing & Outreach Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and implementation of external marketing and outreach programs. This position develops, organizes, and executes effective strategies that position Geneva to achieve business development, revenue, and outreach goals and accomplish long-term growth. The Marketing & Outreach Manager collaborates with Business Development and other departments to increase Geneva’s influence and growth in strategic areas as determined by the Director of Client Partnerships.

 

This position is hybrid/remote, working at the NCR in Bethesda, MD or Frederick office (on site visits and meetings) one to three days a week, and two days telecommuting.

 

Salary Range

 

$96,000 - $105,000. Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.

Responsibilities

Management Responsibilities:

  • Manage staffing, hiring, and performance review processes for direct reports
  • In collaboration with Director of People Operations, conduct counseling, corrective action, up to and including termination
  • Oversee general administrative needs such as timesheet approval, new hire paperwork, distribution of forms

  • Manage Marketing and Outreach Administrator to ensure optimal performance

  • Plan and facilitate individual and team meetings

  • Assure marketing team complies with organizational policies, procedures, and SOPs

  • Provide direction and support to team members in a willing, professional manner

Responsibilities:

  • In collaboration with the Director of Client Partnerships, develop a marketing and outreach strategy that supports Geneva’s strategic growth, advances brand identity with target audiences and regions, and broadens awareness of programs and priorities
  • Create, recommend, and manage comprehensive programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments, driving collaboration with the stakeholders and leveraging the right internal processes
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing and outreach programs in achieving their stated objectives; establish metrics for the measurement and communication of program effectiveness
  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Lead content marketing efforts, including Geneva’s external website, annual report, print collateral, and external newsletters; manage relationships with associated vendors
  • Develop compelling digital media strategies for Geneva’s external website and social channels, to include management of editorial calendar, content development, analytics, and user engagement · Proactively manage external media relations including creation and distribution of press releases, building relationships with military facility public affairs officers, and identifying additional external communication and relationship-building needs
  • Implement a regional outreach strategy including fostering relationships with key partners, participating in local member organizations and networking events, engaging and leveraging regional site employees, and promoting thought leadership
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, site visits as required; and represent Geneva with the highest degree of professionalism
  • Maintain a thorough and ongoing knowledge of the organization’s programs, capabilities, and client relationships

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, public relations, communications, or business administration, or equivalent work experience required
  • 5-7 years of experience in marketing and outreach to include digital marketing, content development, event management, client relations, technical marketing skills, and customer/market research required
  • 3-5 years non-profit, research, or healthcare experience desired
  • 5-7 years of experience in staff or project management
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements
  • Experience in gathering data and synthesizing it into meaningful and relevant analyses of Geneva’s industry, client base, and competition
  • Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication
  • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, professional demeanor
  • Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment in fast-paced, high-pressured environment with strict deadlines and to manage multiple projects
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing personnel and working with management teams
